Sterre is a climate change adaptation researcher currently affiliated with the research group ‘Spatial Transformation – Water’ at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. The group focuses on enhancing sustainability in our living environment, utilizing tools such as full-scale tests, ClimateScan, and ClimateCafés to analyse challenges and solutions related to the evolving urban climate.

As a passionate advocate for sustainable development, she is committed to a future where our actions harmonize with the natural world. She ardently believes in infusing ecological principles into climate-adaptive solutions and holds a deep-seated passion for the Arctic, recognizing the urgency of safeguarding its ecosystems in the face of global warming.
