Registration for the Poolsymposium is open!
Thursday May 19th 2022 | 09.30 – 19.00 hrs
Museon | Stadhouderslaan 37 | The Hague
We cordially invite you to the annual Poolsymposium. This event has been postponed twice, but will now finally take place with a full and diverse polar programme!
The annual Poolsymposium brings polar scientists, policymakers, entrepreneurs, artists and other stakeholders together with polar activities. DAC (Dutch Arctic Circle), APECS-NL (Association of Polar Early Career Scientists) and NWO (Dutch Research Council) jointly organize this polar day full of activities around various themes.
The day’s chair and moderator will be Nienke Beintema, science journalist. Confirmed keynote speakers are, among others, Mike Meredith (British Antarctic Survey) and Kadir van Lohuizen (photo journalist). Among talks (also by APECS NL members!), the event will feature posters, art and outreach events, an evening programme with polar films and a plenary talk from APECS NL.
