In honor of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we celebrate the Women in Polar Science (WiPS). WiPS is a project collecting and sharing the stories of women in polar employment. They have collected hundreds of stories on their website – Read their stories, and share yours 🎇

Additionally, on this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, one of our members published an essay with an all-female writing team on early-career researchers on the fifth International Polar Year (IPY). Give it a read to check out their thoughts on necessary changes in the way we organise polar research, and where they challenge those who traditionally hold power in polar science and policy to ask, “How can we make space for community priorities, values, and knowledge systems?”
